Description

From the mountain station of the Fanas cable car, you can reach the first summit, Sassauna (2307 m), via the rather steep southern flank. The panorama rewards you for the first effort. On one side are the greats of the Rätikon - Schesaplana, Drusenfluh, Sulzfluh - while on the other side you can see the expanses of the Prättigau.  Now leave the marked mountain hiking trails and follow the ridge line (T4) in pathless terrain.  Here comes the key point of this tour - surefootedness is required. Exposed passages require a few steps every now and then, but those who master the section to the Pfäwi can enjoy the rest. Now the peaks of Lägend-, Tüf- and Hoch-Sagetti are collected before crossing the hiking trail on the Fadurer Fürggli. Via the steep, but easily accessible ridge, you reach the highest point of this tour, the Girenspitz. The spectacular view makes you pause before you take the descent to the Hochstelli and then steeply down to the marked mountain hiking trail under your feet. The red and white path leads to the Schuderser Maiensäss and from there along the road to Schuders. From there, the post bus travels back to the valley over the famous Salginatobel Bridge.

Variants

Variant 1: If the ridge line is too demanding for you or the bad conditions do not allow it, you can cross the Fadurer Kessel at an altitude of around 2000 m on white-red marked mountain hiking trails.

Variant 2: From the Fadurer Fürggli you reach the Prättigauer Höhenweg via the saddle of Golrosa, which leads to the Schesaplana hut, which offers an excellent starting point for further alpine hikes. approx. 2 hours from Fadurer Fürggli, T2

Geheimtipp

With the Fanas cable car you can effortlessly overcome the first meters of altitude.
Enjoy a snack and the view in the Berghaus Sassauna before you start freshly strengthened.
