Description

On the normal road, leave St. Antönien in a northeasterly direction and turn right at Litzirüti into the Gafia Valley. First you follow the Gafier Bach for a short time and then branch off into the Alpeltitäli, where the ascent to the St. Antönier Joch begins. At the top of the pass you stand at the border with Austria and enjoy a view over the summit sea in the Montafon. Follow the so-called smugglers' path on the border for a short distance and then branch off towards Tälli. Continue to the shimmering blue Gafiersee. Via Talegg you go down to Sunnistafel where you can stop and rest in the Edelweiss.

Tip: If you haven't had enough, walk past the lake back to the ridge and follow it to the Gafierjoch. From there, the mountain hiking trail leads over the Unghürtschuggen to Sunnistafel.

Geheimtipp

Recharge your batteries with a fine cake in the Berghaus Edelweiss and then whiz back to St. Antönien with the scooter (Trettroller). Alternatively, the Bus runs alpine from here
