Description

From Litzirüti you walk in a south-easterly direction along the old path along the stream to the Eggelti and on to the village of Dörfji (1658 m above sea level), the first Walser settlement in St. Antönien, which today comprises three small buildings. At Dörfji, cross the stream and climb towards the legendary Schlangenstein, then pull up to the right at the end of the forest. Heading southwest, you reach the Jenazer Alp (Säss) at 1941m. From this shepherd's hut, the route heads south to point 2204. The ridge reaches the summit of the Eggberg. The descent into the Gafiental takes place in the area of the ascent track.

Attention! The slopes in the direction of St. Antönien are not allowed to be driven on - it is the Eggberg-Ischa wildlife rest zone. Thank you for respecting nature!

In excellent snow conditions, the descent towards Ascherina is worthwhile (pay attention to wildlife rest zones).

Take the Rhaetian Railway RhB to Schiers or Küblis and by post bus to St. Antönien Rüti or Platz. (timetable field 90.218 or 90.222) From St. Antönien Platz about 20 minutes walk along the mountain road to Rüti.

Anreise Information

Take the A13 and the N28 to Küblis, then follow the Luzeinerstrasse to Pany / St. Antönien.

Parken

In St. Antönien all parking spaces are subject to a charge. In the parking lots you can pay with cash, Parkingpay app, Easy-Park or Twint. The last parking lot (P5) is located at St. Antönien Rüti.
