Marseille 1815: The young Edmond Dantès' big dreams are about to come true: he is promoted to captain and can finally marry Mercédès, the love of his life. But success fuels envy and Dantès is accused of a crime by rivals. He is incarcerated without trial. It is only after fourteen years that he succeeds in an adventurous escape, during which he comes into possession of the legendary treasure of Monte Cristo. Now an unusual plan is supposed to help him quench his thirst for revenge on the traitors...
