The successful business lawyer Camilla works in the chilly and emotionless world of multinational high finance in Milan. She is completely absorbed in her job. So there is hardly any time for the relationship with her lover and for her rebellious 19-year-old daughter. On a rainy night, Camilla gets into an accident in which a young man is killed. He has no papers with him. Who was he? Why doesn't anyone know him? Camilla begins to investigate, looking for traces of the Sans paper. The accident has opened up a mental rift in her, old memories and deeply hidden feelings inexorably make their way into Camilla's heart and thoughts...
