Bailey lives with her father Bug in a squat in Kent, near London. Instead of taking care of Bailey, Bug, when he's not partying the night away, prefers to concentrate on his latest business idea: He wants to develop a hallucinogenic superdrug from the secretion of a special South American toad and sell it at a high price. After she has run away from home again in an argument, Bailey meets the strange Bird, who comes up to her out of nowhere with somersaults and a pleated skirt. In a world where no one cares about her, Bird becomes Bailey's closest confidant. But is Bird really who he claims to be? BIRD is a touching and poetic story, somewhere between fairy tale and drama.
