More and more people are enjoying winter away from marked slopes, be it with touring skis or more and more often, with snowshoes. In these activities, it is essential to be able to correctly assess the situation with regard to weather, snow conditions and avalanche risk. A large number of providers offer various courses, but what always remains is a residual risk. In order to be prepared for the worst-case scenario, you should use state-of-the-art avalanche transceivers and train the use of the devices again and again. The ascent to the mountain houses takes about an hour and is ideally mastered with the touring skis or snowshoes. The path to the mountain houses is rolled and can therefore also be walked as a winter hiking trail. The return can then be combined with a leisurely sleigh ride.
