Season dates and information
Fishing rights in the canton of Graubünden have been granted by the patent system since 1903, with the exception of individual private rights (cantonal registry). By paying a fee to the canton, any person over the age of 14 is free to fish on most waters in the Grisons.
Fishing Patents online
Short-term patents for 1-15 days, long-term patents for 30 days and seasonal patents can be obtained or ordered in the online store for fishing patents with payment via PostFinance/Postcard or credit card.
Short-term patents are sent directly to the patent holder by e-mail in digital form as a PDF file immediately after the order has been placed and payment has been made online.
Long-term patents are sent directly to the patent holder by e-mail in digital form as a PDF after the order has been placed and payment has been made online or, as a rule, sent by post with further documents within 5 working days.
Patents and costs
Daily patents from CHF 46.- for adults, youth patents are available for ages 14 to 17, daily patents CHF 26.-. However, the right to fish with others allows young people up to 13 years of age to fish in the company of a responsible patent holder (at least 18 years old). 7 days from CHF 141.- (youth patents CHF 76.-), 15 days from CHF 235.- (youth patents CHF 127.- ).
Annual and monthly patents are only available with the SANA card (fishing education).
Fishermen residing in the canton of Graubünden receive a reduction on the above prices.

The 2022 fishing season lasts up to and including September 15 for running waters and up to and including October 31 for standing waters.
